Christie Grant

In 1914, wholesale business Stobart, Sons and Company rebranded as Christie Grant Limited, a mail-order company that distributed catalogues across the Canadian prairies. They officially launched in 1916 and painted the Christie Grant Mail Order moniker over the existing Stobart sign. The business suffered the effects of competitive catalogue market and post-war financial stresses and ceased operations in 1922, leaving the building to be filled by new tenants.
